Who we are

Delooze Digital is a sole trader business operated by Alex Delooze, based at 26 High Street, Hawick, TD9 9EH, Scotland. You can contact us at info@deloozedigital.co.uk.

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What data we collect and why

Contact form submissions

When you submit the contact form on this website, we collect your name, email address, and the message you send. A phone number field is also available but is optional.

We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis for processing this data is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.

Contact form submissions are processed and stored by Netlify, Inc. (our hosting provider) via their Netlify Forms service. Netlify acts as a data processor on our behalf. Their privacy policy is available at netlify.com/privacy.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised data about how visitors use this website — including which pages are visited, how long people stay, and broadly where visitors are located. This data does not identify you personally.

Analytics data is processed by Google Ireland Limited (and their parent, Google LLC). Their privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy. Google Analytics data may be transferred to and stored on servers outside the UK.

The legal basis for this processing is your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or by declining cookies if prompted again in a different browser or device.

We do not use analytics data to identify individuals or to serve targeted advertising.

Cookies

This site uses cookies only if you consent to analytics. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish users and sessions. No other cookies are set by this website.

We store your cookie consent choice in your browser's local storage (not a cookie itself) so that we do not ask you again on return visits.

You can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Removing cookies will not affect your ability to use the website.

How long we keep your data

Contact form data is retained in the Netlify dashboard until we have responded to your enquiry and no longer need the record, or for a maximum of 12 months, whichever comes first. We do not store form submissions anywhere else.

Analytics data is retained for 14 months in Google Analytics, after which it is automatically deleted. You can view Google's data retention policy in your browser.

Sharing your data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared only with the processors described above (Netlify, Google) as necessary to operate this website.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your personal data where there is no legitimate reason to continue holding it.
  • Right to object — you can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent (e.g. analytics), you can withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@deloozedigital.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you have concerns about how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator. Visit ico.org.uk or call 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. We encourage you to check back periodically.
